John Krause is currently an Associate Broker and one of the three founding partners of The HOW Group @Compass Real Estate in Conshohocken.
John, along with Tracy Slowik and Tom Dilsheimer, founded the HOW Groups’ Real Estate division in 2015. The HOW Group at that time had multiple companies under one roof – mortgage – property management- home rehab – and new home construction. The Real Estate arm completed the circle for The HOW Group to have interest in every aspect of the real estate market in the Philadelphia area.
John began his real estate career in 1998 as an agent for The Century 21 Home Team in the Roxborough area of Philadelphia. After 2 years as an agent John purchased the agency and became the Broker/Owner of that office. In 2008 John formed a partnership with Century 21 Alliance and moved his office just down the road to the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia.
John was Associate Broker/Owner of the Century 21 Alliance office until 2015 when he helped form The HOW Group Real Estate.
Prior to John’s intro into the real estate world, John took a ‘summer job’ after his first year of college to work at the Budd Automotive Company in Philly. That temporary ‘summer job’ turned into 30 summers and 30 winters working at that manufacturing plant until the 100-year-old Budd Company closed it’s doors in 2000.
John’s passions (besides real estate) are spending time with his wife, Diane, and his daughter, Sylvie, now 28, finishing her Masters in Sociology at Columbia in NY. John is an avid cyclist enjoying long distance riding. John and two of his riding partners completed a 3800-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Atlantic City in 2021 and raised over $250,000 while doing so for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Future goals are to continue his passion for helping buyers and sellers reach their real estate objectives.
